# Hider Room hardware sources

## Retro desktop computer

The detailed CRT monitor, sculpted computer base, separate keyboard and baked lighting textures are by Edward Hinrichsen, from his official [retro-computer-website repository](https://github.com/edhinrichsen/retro-computer-website). The original computer design is based on the Commodore PET 8296.

The repository is published under the **MIT License**, copyright (c) 2024 Edward Hinrichsen. Its complete notice is retained in `LICENSE-edhinrichsen.txt`. The README contains no separate model/texture exclusion. The model downloaded from the repository was checked byte-for-byte against the model served by [edh.dev](https://edh.dev/).

The hardware geometry and authored baked lighting are adapted for Hider. The Hider screen, identity interactions, camera sequence and drag response are Hider's own implementation. The source author's portrait, personal terminal content and personal identity are not included. No endorsement or affiliation is implied.

The model has about 62,600 triangles. The provided compressed baked-lighting atlas is 4096×4096 (1.2MB). The author does not provide a lower-resolution atlas in the source repository. Mobile rendering caps device pixel ratio at1.25 and sleeps when settled or outside the viewport.

## Runtime

Three.js0.186.1 and its GLTF loader modules come from the project's already installed dependency. Its MIT notice is retained in `vendor/LICENSE-three.txt`. Official project: https://github.com/mrdoob/three.js

All runtime imports, the model and the two textures are served locally. There are no runtime model/CDN requests to third parties.

## Presentation and accessibility

The live HTML agent desktop is perspective-projected into the CRT glass. Scrolling reveals the complete physical device and keyboard. Mouse dragging outside the interactive display changes the viewing angle with bounded, damped motion. Touch keeps ordinary vertical page scrolling. Reduced motion uses a static readable view. If WebGL/model loading fails, the live desktop remains usable as a plain application surface.

The baked floor texture is sampled as a transparent shadow mask so the original source's peach floor does not appear as a rectangle against Hider's room palette.

## Additional animation credits

The walking crowd adapts the supplied Skiper UI / CodePen reference with original Hider bodies and brand faces. See [full crowd credits](../../crowd-SOURCES.md).

## Hider fold film

The phone unfolds in generated footage with the new Agent and Persona faces baked into its displays. It is a fictional folding device; no Apple hardware model or endorsement is used. The page controls the silent film with ordinary vertical scroll and shows its held end pose for reduced motion. See [video generation and finishing provenance](../fold-film.md).

## Hider identity artwork

The main brand mark is the exact image supplied by the user, cropped with a native contour. The individual Agent and Persona faces follow its new vertical eyes and embossed smile. See [brand sources](../brand-SOURCES.md).
